Best South American sailors confirm participation in 2nd Mitsubishi Sailing Cup 2011


São Paulo (SP) - The best sailors in South America that together, accumulate 340 shares and 270 medals in Olympics and world championships, European, South American and National, have confirmed their presence in season 2 Mitsubishi Sailing Cup, the first competition monotypes yachts (boats equal) 40-foot ocean, called class S40 (Soto40).

As each boat has 10 crew, so far the second season of Cup Sailing Mitsubishi already has the participation of 120 professional and amateur sailors of the highest level, a milestone in competitions on the continent.

The registered shares and accumulated 15 medals in seven Olympics, 50 world titles, 11 European, South American and 38 164 nationals, a total of 238. The number of shares in such competitions sum 331.

Mitsubishi Sailing Cup 2011 competitors will also meet Class HPE 25, monotype that was the inspiration for sailboats S40, both coming out of the boards of Acebal Javier Soto, who becomes the access class of the competition.
